Mission Trip Information
Why go on a mission trip?
There is just no way to put into words what you will experience while on a mission trip. It is simply amazing to be a part of a team of people who have worked hard, raised funds, prayed and prepared to go serve God in another land. The things that you see, hear, feel and smell are indescribable. It’s so easy to get comfortable and in a rut with everyday life, but when you go on a mission trip like this it will change your perspective and sharpen your world view. You will see people as God sees them, they are just people in need of a Savior, who speak a different language, and have different customs. After being part of a mission team, when you return back home, you will see things in a different light. It’s difficult to go back to the same old way of doing things. Going on a mission trip gives you focus on others and that is what Jesus came here for, to serve others.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
What will I do on a mission trip?
You will join a team of others in serving God in another country. Depending on the country where you go the ministry will vary. In most countries you will be side-by-side with the national students in a bilingual camp, developing skills together that you will use while doing outreaches in their local market places and schools as well. Together you can make a huge difference in many lives. You will participate in and help lead a Vision Camp. In some countries, you will be a part of a student conference and in Mexico you will bring the people clothes and food as well as the Gospel of Christ. The most important thing to remember is that as you obey God’s commission and say “yes, I will go”, God will use you, sharpen your skills and gifts and you will be utterly amazed to be a part of doing God’s work in this world.
Mark 10:35 – “For even the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve
and to give his life a ransom for many.”
How do I prepare for a mission trip?
All you need is a willing heart and a passport. God will take care of the rest. Just fill out the application on-line, or fill out a paper application, and mail it to our Youth for Truth office. We will provide fund raising ideas, training and equip you to go. The most important part of your mission trip is praying. God will strengthen your prayer life as you trust Him and all the details in the preparation of the mission trip unfold. Watch Him move in your heart for those hearts of the people where you will go.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Fresh off the press for this summer, City Life Ministry. I have been working with Youth for Christ
planning an intercity type ministry and we have developed a week long adventure of reaching
out to the less fortunate in the area. We will be sharing the love of Jesus and feeding the homeless
in Riverside and LA, and ministering in Palm Springs and at the Ocean Side pier. We have a work
project locally and some great Spiritual adventures planned as well. This will be an affordable
week that will transform a teenager’s view on their own lifestyle.
